Walking the Lonely Road

I filled my heart with the sounds of the rocky coastline.

I began with a light sketch and used the dark chocolate packaging as a straightedge for the horizon.

A Sunny Place

The open road and airbrushed skies beckoned me forward.

Pilgrims from England

Walking this path felt like realizing a forgotten dream. When I was a child, I used to wander out into the fields surrounding our house in Ardmore, TN and explore. Sometimes I was allowed to come with Evan and Tori, my older brother and sister, on their “Whittling Club” meetings that took place either in the woodshed or in specific meetings places in the winter wheat field around our house. I remember trotting along in my rubber boots, unable to see above the wheat plants on either side of me. There is no joy like wandering off into the unknown.

Far Away in a Sunny Place

The summer air by the seaside filled my lungs

I felt just like a kid again as I explored the huge rock formation.
