Till the Soil of my Heart

After a climb, the trail leveled out into an upland farmland. Freshly-tilled fields lay on either side of the path. In just a few months, these fields would be a shimmering green blanket of life and abundance, unrecognizable from their current form. The brown, dormant stage is necessary for the next season. Even though we cannot see it, there is growth taking place beneath the surface.
