Avocado Truffles

Avocado Truffles

Yesterday I tried combining two of my favorite ingredients: chocolate and avocado! The result? A rich, creamy, delicious truffle—without any cream or butter! This recipe makes about twenty truffles, but results may very depending on how many truffles get eaten during the process!

Recipe adapted from Detox Insta

Start to finish: 10 minutes

Makes: 20 truffles

What you’ll need:

  • 1 ripe avocado

  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • ½ tsp vanilla

  • Pinch of salt

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder or cacao for coating

What you’ll do:

1. Heat the chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring after every thirty seconds until just melted.

2. Mash avocado until smooth.

3. Combine chocolate, avocado, vanilla, and salt. Stir until combined and don’t forget to lick the spoon.

4. Chill in the freezer for one hour or until you can easily roll the balls in your hands.

5. Roll the dough into one tablespoon balls, then coat in cocoa powder.

6. Enjoy with coffee or share with your roommates or family!

Caution: these truffles are highly addictive. I recommend eating no more than four truffles per person per day.
